Queer club culture is rooted in community-building. Some of today’s artists, DJs, producers and promoters engaged in activism work toward turning the club scene into a safer space, fighting sexism, racism, trans- and homophobia at parties and within club culture itself. They also strive to use club culture as a tool for political mobilisation and resistance. During this nocturnal gathering in June we ask, What is a dance for freedom and why do we need it now more than ever?
